Chapter Seven
What do you think Husk's motive was for getting Granite appointed as a captain? Please be sure to fully explain your thinking.
I think Husk just wants Granite to become powerful with him and stand beside him when he gains power. Doing that favor of appointing Granite as a Captain is sort of like a gift that says 'There will be better benefits than this if you stand beside me as a King'. Granite probably helped Husk kill the Prince because they seem like they're close to each other, like friends.
Like a said a few posts ago, this is all a Master-Apprentice thing. Granite will work with Husk but then once Granite fails or Husk feels he isn't working to the best of his ability, he'll dispose of him and find a new Apprentice. It's kind of always looking for the next best thing because once Granite becomes weak as a Captain, Husk will find a new and improved Captain to replace him.
I think Husk wants Granite to be captain because Husk somewhat knows Granite. So I think Husk will try to make Granite his right-hand man.
ReplyDeleteIs that his only reasoning?
DeleteI think Husk will use Granite's power as a captain to control the island Along with someone else with power.
ReplyDeleteI think Husk did this because he didn't want Tay to be captain. I also think Husk sort of likes Granite.
ReplyDeleteI think that Husk wants to use Granite's power to be in charge of the island. Husk just needs someone else with power to help.
ReplyDeleteI also think that Granite helped Husk kill the Prince.
