Chapter Nine
Please revisit page 95. What do you think the purpose was behind Tay and Husk kidnapping and then doping Needle's brother, Scufflen?
I think they kidnapped Scufflen because if Needles was there when the guards tried to take him, Needles would have probably flipped out on the guards and could of gotten herself in trouble or hurt.
What type of drug did they give to Scufflen? Doped means druged right? They might have given it to him so he would act weaker and they would cull him easier.
I think Tay and Husk kidnapped Scufflen because if Needles was there with others that are her friends, Needles would've gone crazy and try to get Scufflen back, with a result of a serious injury, or possibly death. Kind of what John said.
I think there are two possible reasons. One, because they felt really strong about the need to cull Scufflen. Two , because it could be what they are supposed to do.
@ Leah yeah it does. I think they took Scufflen because he was not benefiting to the Island's workforce, so they culled him. I also wonder what they used on Scufflen as well. :/
