Chapter Five

On page 59, Captain Husk received these words of prophecy (click on link for definition): "I will be all powerful.  But the one that falls from the sky must be destroyed."  What do you think this prophecy -- and what follows on page 60 -- means?  Please be sure to explain yourself fully.

  1. I think "I will be all powerful" means he will be king because when you are king you have great power. Based on what I said before is why i think he says this. I think "But the one that falls from the sky must be destroyed" means what is given to us must be dealt with. I think this because they were given that Crispin murdered the prince so they must do something with it.

  2. I think that "I will be all powerful" means that he will become king. There is only one problem, it said the one falling from the sky had to be destroyed. Husk couldn't quite see what it was. Im pretty sure it was Urchin.

  3. Hmmm. Are we heading for showdown between Husk and Urchin?

  4. I think "I will be all powerful" means that he is going to be king. Also I think it is talking about Urchin in the part "But the one that falls from the sky must be destroyed" because in the beginning, urchin was picked up by a bird and dropped him at Mistmantle. And the people thought Urchin fell from the sky.

  5. I think that "I will be all powerful" means that Captain Husk will be king. I think that "but the one that falls from the sky must be destroyed" means that the people in the town want Urchin to be killed because they find out that a bird picked him up and dropped him on the shore at Mistmantle.

  6. I think that 'I will be all powerful' means that Husk will be ranked higher than everyone after something happens or time passes. Since it says 'the one who fell out the sky must be destroyed.', I think it means Urchin or another person who fell as well. Also if Husk needs to find out who fell out of the sky, he'll ask someone that was there when Urchin fell, like Apple.

@ Mr.Budgar possibly because once Husk finds out who he needs to kill, he'll do it because people will do anything for power.
