Chapter Eight
On page 89, while Gleaner was speaking with Lady Aspen, she said, "I don't know exactly where he's from, but I know more than most. I can tell you a secret about him."
What do you think this means? Be sure to explain why you think this.
I think she was talking about Urchin because not a lot of people know where he came from but they might know the prophecy and the possibility of Urchin being the squirrel in the prophecy. She might have told Lady Aspen about the prophecy or something else that relates with Urchin or someone else that may the the one in the prophecy.
I think that Gleaner might come up some bogus lie about Urchin and everybody might turn on him. I think that because I think Gleaner is jealous that Urchin is a page and he isn't.
I think that Gleaner was talking about Urchin. Gleaner climbed up the tower and heard where Urchin came from (the sky, they think.) so Gleaner knows about Urchin.
Gleaner was spying in Brother Fir, Captain Crispin, and Urchin in the beginning of the book and found out that Urchin fell from the sky on the night of the riding stars so Gleaner might tell Aspen that he fell from the sky.

ReplyDeleteI think they were talking about Urchin. I think Gleaner will tell a lie about him to make him look dumb because she envies Urchin.
